Preventing Falls--One Step at a Time

Register to join the Guilford County Falls Prevention Coalition during Falls Prevention Awareness Week to learn how you can prevent falls. There will be free health information, including:


  • Falls prevention programs
  • 4 interactive mini-sessions demonstrating fun, physical activities, like dancing
  • Balance screenings
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Hearing & vision screenings
  • Osteoporosis screenings
  • Brown bag medication reviews by a pharmacist
  • Adult day and medical care information
  • Home health information
  • Medical equipment information
  • Transportation services information
  • Door Prizes
  • Free light lunch for the first 70 people who register


Registration for lunch is required. Call Safe Guilford at 336.832.3939 or fill out the online form. If you are not staying for lunch, pre-registration is not required.

If you would like to be a vendor at this event, please fill out the online registration form

We will provide the following for vendors:
  • one 8’ table and two chairs
  • lunch
  • acknowledgment on the event program
Vendors should provide: 
  • $25 registration fee, 
  •  information and/or promotional items on products or services related to falls prevention,  
  • tablecloth, if desired, 
  • one door prize with a suggested minimum value of $25

The expected attendance is 100 senior adults.

This is the 3nd annual falls prevention event coordinated by the Guilford County Falls Prevention Coalition. We are a collaboration of health professionals, aging services providers, housing specialists, researchers and planners that aims to reduce accidental falls, fall-related injuries and the seriousness of injuries resulting from falls among people age 65 and older in Guilford County.
